Love Bombing



 


I keep wondering why there are so many people who get involved with narcissists that manipulate them and treat them badly.

There is a common denominator that I see. This includes my own experience as well.

Some of us are so empathetic that we can see the deep pain these people are in. We can sense that they need healing and love. They have deep trauma wounds that they don’t know about. They search for love in others who would do anything just to help them heal their pain.

These narcissists then use the sweet hearts of these empathetic people to fill their own empty heart. They cannot feel worthy on their own merit. They have to manipulate their person into loving them through love bombing and hot/cold, Jekyll/Hyde behavior until the they are so addicted to fixing the narcissist’s issues that it’s nearly impossible for them to let go of the involvement.

Just know, I see you. I know. I want to help you heal from this type of toxic relationship. It starts inside your heart. ❤️

In the beginning the love bombing serves one purpose for the narcissist, and that is to get you hooked on their attention. It is especially insidious when they are critical and negative about a lot of other people and situations. It makes you feel extra special to be the main focus of their “love”. Later, when they have gotten everything they wanted from you, the words you so desperately want to hear again will never come. You no longer serve a purpose to them. The discard is eminent. When your presence in their life is no longer beneficial to them, you must realize that no matter what you do or say, they will never give you what you truly want. They never had any respect for your feelings or what you wanted in a relationship. They were only concerned about their own wants and needs. You will only be able to heal once you recognize the situation for what it is. Loving yourself and setting boundaries are your two biggest ways to begin healing. ❤️

How to deal with a toxic person you have to see daily without losing your own power. 💫 When I say toxic, I mean that they use anger, manipulation, and lies. They play the victim. They take no responsibility for their shitty behavior. First, realize that their behavior is not YOUR fault. They are reacting out of their own trauma response and beliefs. Second, create boundaries! Whatever it looks like for you so that you preserve your mental health, do that. Less interaction, creating a solution that takes you away from them, or take time in your day to get away and breathe and think about the positive things in your life. And lastly, create a support system. You have people that respect and value you. Let them help you find solutions. No one is stuck with a toxic person forever. Keep being beautiful you.
